El Parador's  bookclub, hosted by a different reader each month!  We will be discussing The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray.

A historical novel detailing the life of Belle da Costa Greene, a Black woman who passes as white to become J.P. Morgan's personal librarian in 1900s NYC. Belle becomes a powerful art world figure while hiding her identity, balancing professional success with the fear of exposure.

Through a mix of freeform discussion and guided questions, we will explore our thoughts and opinions about the novel while enjoying the one of a kind ambience and company of El Parador Cafe and it's patrons. We look forward to seeing you there!
